Established in 1947 as Producers Consumer Co-op Society under Indian Co-op Societies Act 1912. In 1956 reformed as rural bank. Then the status of rural bank changed into The Cherpalcheri Service Co-Operative Bank Ltd as of now by registering under the Kerala Co-Op Societies Act 1969. The Bank was honored with National Award in 2004. As a result of decades of its successful & democratic involvement, the bank established 7 branches with in the area of operation out of which Head office, 4 branches and Karshakabhavan are working in own building. The bank works 8 am to 8 pm (362 days) including holidays for the upliftment of the agriculturists, artisans, Kudumbasree, Self help group and all other members of the bank and in all sense it fulfills the principle of concern to community.

It operates through transparent & liberal loan policies with low rate of interest such as KCC, Gold Loan, Other Mortgage loan, etc. Besides to cope with present modernization in the banking sector and to keep pace with the new gen banking, has implemented many services including ATM/CDM, Mobile Banking App, Electronic Fund Transfer, QR code remittance and also doorstep banking service with skilled collection agents through mobile e-collection app. In addition to banking business, the bank also involved in agricultural allied business, for which the bank has 2 fertilizer godown, Neethi Medicals, Student Bazar and also engages in agricultural cultivation and serving the public with its product at cheapest rate, plantation of greenaries with Haritham Keralam

More over the bank works for controlling monopolistic exploitation under the different festival fair trade seasons. We are proud and excited that today and always the bank is making tireless efforts to balance economic inequality in its area of operation.

Our bank is not just focused on financial growth but also actively engaged in social welfare and community development. We have implemented several support initiatives, including:

  • Low-interest KCC loans at 7%

  • Distribution of essential goods like rice, oil, medicines, clothing, and school kits to underprivileged families

  • Partnerships with Kudumbashree, women’s self-help groups, mini-industrial units, and local entrepreneurs to support sustainable livelihoods
